Aqua Notes

I’m not sure if the “Aqua Notes” were a blessing or a curse for me. It’s almost like they’re an open door to the horrible thoughts I get in the shower. For example, in today’s shower, I completely removed the war from my NaNoWriMo novel, the one I’m going to start writing in about four days.

For those who don’t know, these “Aqua Notes” are special water resistant pages bound as a notepad with suction cups to put on your shower’s wall. Yes, if you’re into writing—or just have plain weird ideas in the shower like me—this sounds like an amazing invention. Don’t get me wrong. It is an awesome invention. It just that I don’t think I can handle the responsibility of owning them.

I guess I’m complaining because changing this war thing will completely change the past timeline. That means that my outline for the past timeline will change drastically, and now I need to figure out the plot from that timeline.

Right now, I only have an idea of the villain and his desire. Luckily, the characters should still work fine because I mapped out who they were rather than just being part of the plot. So, they’re all still good, and they’re all connected to the present timeline. But, now I don’t have a war.

On the bright side, it opens the possibility that I might write the Arcanum short stories for this blog in the future since that plot line will be possible again thanks to the removal of the war, and I guess I could always bring back the war for a later date in the present time if I need to. It would just be different characters going through it, which could be interesting.

Damn those aqua notes though. If it weren’t for them, I wouldn’t be changing outlines and plotlines last minute. I sigh at them.

Haha, it was more of a sarcastic complain tbh. Yeah, it’s annoying because I need to quickly revise my outline, but I’m thinking this will make the story better. The aqua notes have been pretty useful though.
